Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) will be a featured speaker at APTA’s Legislative Conference, May 18-20 in Washington, DC.

Ranking Member of the Committee on Environment and Public Works, the lead Senate committee for developing the Surface Transportation Authorization bill, Sen. Whitehouse has earned a reputation as a fierce advocate for progressive values and a thoughtful legislator who can reach across the aisle to achieve bipartisan solutions.

Sen. Whitehouse served as Rhode Island’s U.S. Attorney and State Attorney General before being elected to the U.S. Senate, where he also serves on the Finance, Judiciary, and Budget committees.
