The Ventura County Transportation Commission (VCTC) is soliciting responses to a Request for Proposals (RFP) dated October 9, 2026, from qualified transportation contractors willing to operate regional intercity fixed route transit services originating and terminating within Ventura County, California, designated portions of southern Santa Barbara County and the Woodland Hills area of west Los Angeles County. Service is currently projected to begin on May 4, 2027. Services to be provided under this RFP are fixed route, intercity transit and vehicle maintenance services that comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990.
Copies of the RFP may be obtained beginning Friday, October 9, 2026, after 1:00 p.m., local time. from the VCTC website, http://www.goventura.org?q=about-vctc/working-with-vctc. A pre-proposal conference will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. local time, in the conference room of VCTC offices, 751 E. Daily Drive, Suite 420, Camarillo, CA, 93010. Responses to questions submitted will be distributed verbally or in written form to all attendees. The Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority (CCRTA) is seeking an operator-management partner that can oversee the safe provision of daily service while helping modernize CCRTA through data, dashboards, predictive analytics, automation, AI-supported reporting, better scheduling, procurement savings, labor productivity, and a more coordinated regional mobility ecosystem. In many ways, this RFP would be considered a consulting contract procurement as CCRTA wishes to retain the existing operational staff and draw on the strengths of a management company to evaluate our current practices and propose and then implement accepted changes to bring about improvements to the services provided to our clients on Cape Cod. CCRTA expects the selected Contractor to understand that operational efficiency is not an end in itself. Every improvement in scheduling, safety, dispatching, maintenance, data, procurement, and customer communication must ultimately be directed toward better service for the people of Cape Cod. This is of paramount importance and will weigh on the scoring of proposals in the evaluation of submitted bids.
The resultant contract from this Request for Proposal is for services as outlined in this document in accordance with current Federal Transit Administration (FTA) guidelines. The selected Management Contractor will provide services commencing October 1, 2026, for a term of five (5) years, ending September 30, 2031, at the discretion of the Administrator. Additionally, there is a possibility of three one-year extension to September 30, 2034, again at the discretion of the Administrator.
Potential bidders are cautioned to read this RFP carefully as CCRTA’s business model and the services we seek via this RFP to deliver those services is vastly different than most transit agencies. Our model is a “cost-plus management contract”. CCRTA directly reimburses employee payroll and fringe benefit costs including those of the General Manager and Assistant General Manager as well as most all vendor bills. In those limited instances the Management Company pays allowable invoices directly, reimbursement by the CCRTA is processed within ten business days through a supplemental billing which averages less than $10,000 per month.
It is important to note that under this business model, the Management Companies are not being asked to “float” payroll or operational expenses. As stated above, CCRTA is seeking the services of a management company to evaluate, oversee, execute improvements and generally bring the expertise they have to make CCRTA better.
Later sections of the RFP provide an outline of what CCRTA will be responsible for under the resultant contract and what we expect the winning bidder to provide over the ensuing contract years.

The Metropolitan Council is soliciting proposals from qualified annunciator system vendors. This is a replacement project for the push-button bus arrival annunciator system at a subset of transit stops and transit centers.
Transit stop annunciators provide a clear, audible description of next bus arrival status to people who are vision-impaired or simply prefer spoken audio information to text displays and are a necessary component of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance for transit stop design.
The services will be provided over a three-year period. The intent of the Council is to award in two phases: Pilot Award and Implementation Award. Note that each phase may be awarded to multiple vendors.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
FOR
STATEWIDE FAREBOX UPGRADE PROJECT
The State of Connecticut Department of Transportation (“CTDOT”) is seeking proposals for a contractor to provide an all-encompassing Farebox Equipment solutions on its fixed-route bus services in the state of Connecticut. This new system, at a minimum, shall consist of integrated fareboxes that are capable of accepting electronic fare payment, distribution, collection and processing system.
The services provided shall be in accordance with the policies, standards, and procedures established by CTDOT, the U.S. Department of Transportation regulations, and the State of Connecticut General Statutes and Regulations.
The Request for Proposal (RFP) documents, including instructions to submit your proposal, will be available on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 on the CTSource Bid Board web site at https://portal.ct.gov/DAS/CTSource/BidBoard and search for solicitation #37324.
A Mandatory Pre-proposal Conference is scheduled for Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. EDT virtual via Microsoft Teams. Attendance is mandatory for prospective proposers.
Prospective Proposers must register for the meeting via email to dot.transit@ct.gov by 3:00 p.m. EDT, Monday, July 20, 2026. At least one (1) person or designated representative from a prospective Proposer shall be in attendance for the duration of this meeting. Failure to attend the mandatory meeting shall disqualify the prospective Proposer from further participation in the RFP process.
An electronic copy of the proposal is required and must be submitted to dot.transit@ct.gov and received by 2:00 p.m. EDT Wednesday, September 16, 2026. Eight (8) mailed copies, which must be postmarked by Wednesday, September 16, 2026, are also required to be sent to State of Connecticut Department of Transportation, Attention: Rahmane Camara, Office of Transit & Ridesharing, P.O. Box 317546, Newington, CT 06131-7546. Proposals postmarked after this date will be returned unopened. Hand-delivered copies are to be delivered to the Security Desk at CTDOT Headquarters, 2800 Berlin Turnpike, Newington, Connecticut.
CTDOT will execute an Agreement with the successful proposer for state-owned CTtransit services. The initial Agreement period will be for five (5) years following the Effective Date. Certain of Contractor’s obligations set forth in this Contract shall survive the expiration of the Term as set forth in this Contract, including but not limited to the warranties set forth in Exhibit A and in Article 8, and Contractor’s various obligations to provide support and assistance to CTDOT throughout the duration of the Term, all as more particularly described in this Contract and its exhibits. Other regional transit agencies and services in the state of Connecticut listed in the RFP may enter into separate agreements with the successful proposer to join this procurement.
All firms/entities are advised that one copy of OPM Form 1, State of Connecticut “Campaign Contribution Certification”, is to be completed (at the time of Contract execution) for those contracts having an anticipated total value to the State of more than fifty thousand ($50,000) in a calendar or fiscal year. CTDOT will not shortlist or select a prospective firm/entity without this affidavit(s). The affidavit form can be found at the Office of Policy and Management web site at:

CTDOT reserves the right to accept and/or reject any and all proposals.

The City of Santa Monica’s Big Blue Bus (BBB) is seeking proposals for a software as a service (SaaS) solution for real time bus arrival predictions and alerts for its customers.
The ideal solution would make accurate real-time bus arrival information easily accessible to virtually all current and potential BBB customers however they may prefer to get the data–smartphone app, phone, text, computer, or electronic signs at bus stops. The solution would also disseminate static schedule data (GTFS) via maps when appropriate and would be the single source of truth for BBB real-time locations and schedule data.
In addition, providing a means to automatically disseminate real-time service alerts across a wide range of communication channels would improve the customer experience by helping to reduce customer confusion and frustration about planned and unplanned disruptions. An automated alert-generation solution using data ingested from BBB’s existing CAD-AVL and scheduling systems would help BBB staff better serve customer needs.

Specialized ADA Transportation Service – Northern Region
Access Services, the designated Consolidated Transportation Services Agency that manages paratransit service providers and eligibility contractors in Los Angeles County, has issued the above-entitled RFP to obtain proposals for specialized ADA transportation services for the Northern Region.
A non-mandatory pre-proposal meeting will be held on June 16, 2026, by videoconference via Zoom at 10:00 A.M. (PT).
