Priorities for the Surface Transportation Reauthorization Act
2026 is shaping up to be a pivotal year for transportation infrastructure. Thankfully, we have an Administration committed to making our roads safer and our infrastructure stronger. As Chair of the Housing, Transportation, and Community Development Subcommittee on the Senate Banking Committee, and as a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, the opportunities and challenges facing public transportation, both for the great state of Alabama and across the country, are at the top of my mind.
