Metrolinx Awards MCI Contract for Commuter Coaches

NFI subsidiary Motor Coach Industries (MCI) has been awarded a contract from Metrolinx, ON, Canada, with a mandate to improve the coordination and integration of all modes of transportation in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area. Metrolinx operates GO Transit and UP Express public transportation systems, and the PRESTO payment network.

The award includes an initial firm order for 80 45-foot D45 CRT diesel commuter coaches, along with a number of options that were added to MCI’s fourth quarter 2024 backlog.
