GRTC Launches LINK Microtransit Service

GRTC, Richmond, VA, has launched its LINK microtransit service in the Azalea Zone. In addition, Hanover County has officially joined the GRTC service area.

A launch celebration was held recently at the Ginter Park branch of the Richmond Public Library and featured remarks from GRTC Board Chair and Henrico County Supervisor Tyrone Nelson and DRPT Director Jennifer DeBruhl, followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony with CEO Sheryl Adams and Chief of Staff Adrienne Torres.

“Over the next year, microtransit will become available not just in Henrico and Hanover, but in Ashland, Chesterfield, Powhatan, and New Kent—and we’re excited to get out and prove that transit not only has a place in these communities but is a useful and effective tool for everyday living for everyone,” said Nelson.
