Danielle Schmitz Named NVTA Executive Director

The Napa Valley Transportation Authority (NVTA), CA, has named Danielle Schmitz as its new executive director, succeeding Kate Miller, who has retired after 13 years of leadership.
Schmitz has served the agency since 2008, most recently as deputy executive director. Before that, she was planning & programming manager and then director of capital development and planning.
As deputy executive director, Schmitz played a key role in delivering major projects such as the $56 million Soscol Junction Interchange, the $48 million Vine Transit Maintenance Facility, and the $20 million Calistoga-to-St. Helena Napa Valley Vine Trail project.
