Nominations Open for TRB’s Carey, Crum, and Skinner Awards

The Transportation Research Board (TRB) is seeking nominations for its W. N. Carey, Jr., Roy W. Crum, and Robert E. Skinner, Jr. awards. The submission deadline is July 31.

The W. N. Carey, Jr., Distinguished Service Award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated leadership and provided distinguished service to TRB, even if they have not been personally active in transportation research. Learn more and submit nominations here.

The Roy W. Crum Distinguished Service Award recognizes outstanding contributions to fundamental or developmental transportation-related research. Nominees should have a career marked by influential research that has significantly advanced the field. Learn more and submit nominations here.

The Robert E. Skinner, Jr. Distinguished Transportation Research Management Award

honors individuals for lifetime achievement in the management, administration, promotion, and implementation of transportation research. Recipients should have led major research programs that have had a lasting impact on the field. Learn more and submit nominations here.

The award presentations will take place during the Chair’s Plenary Session, Jan. 14, 2026, at the TRB’s 104th Annual Meeting in Washington, DC.
