Meet the APTA Officers for 2025-26!

APTA members voted for the 2025-2026 slate of officers during the 2025 TRANSform conference in Boston, MA. Leanne Redden, executive director, Chicago Regional Transportation Authority, is chair for 2025-2026. Joel B. Young, board member, AC Transit, Oakland, CA, is vice chair. Jannet Walker-Ford, business line executive, advisory and planning, WSP USA, is secretary-treasurer for 2025-2028. MJ Maynard-Carey, CEO, Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada, Las Vegas, will serve as APTA immediate past chair.

In addition, serving three-year terms as members of the 25-person APTA Executive Committee are:

• Ken McDonald, president and CEO, Long Beach Transit, CA, as the At-Large System Member
• Peter Rogoff, principal and managing partner, The Contorta Group, as the At-Large Business Member
• Patricia Sams, board member, Jacksonville Transportation Authority, FL, as the At-Large Transit Board Member
• Veronica Vanterpool, senior vice president, Americas transit lead, AECOM, as the Top 10 Dues Paying Business Member Representative

Stephanie Wiggins, CEO, Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority, was appointed to fill an unexpired term in the Top 10 Transit Agency Representative portfolio seat on the Executive Committee, following the retirement of Collie Greenwood, general manager & CEO, Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority.

The following individuals are to fill three-year term portfolio seats on the Executive Committee:

• Paul Smedberg, board member, Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, Washington, DC, as Transit Board Members Committee Representative
• Natalie Chavez, senior HR analyst, Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority, San Jose, CA, as Emerging Leaders Program Representative
• Celia Ann Pfleckl, AVP, Amtrak Airo Program, as Leadership APTA Representative
