New CEO Named

CORPUS CHRISTI REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION Authority (CCRTA), Corpus Christi, TX, has named Derrick Majchszak as its next chief executive officer, taking over from Miguel E. Rendón, who has led the organization as acting CEO through the last year.

Majchszak has more than 17 years of public transportation experience. He joined CCRTA in 2017 as director of transportation, before being promoted to managing director of operations where he led 250 employees and contractors and managed a $26 million budget. Before that, he was with the Fort Worth Transportation Authority.

For APTA, Majchszak is a member of the Collaboration on Workforce Challenges and serves on the Mid-Size Operations, Bus Operations, Connected and Automated Vehicle, Zero Emission Fleet and Research & Technology committees.
