In Memoriam: Howard Silver

Howard Silver, a former APTA Chair, died Dec. 9, in Panama City, FL. He was a long-time board member of the Golden Empire Transit District in Bakersfield, CA. He worked closely with the Kern County (CA) Council of Government’s Transportation Planning and Policy Committee and the Kern High-Speed Rail Committee.
Silver served as APTA Chair from 2006 to 2007. He was very active on APTA committees, including the Transit Board Members Committee.
