Heliox Introduces Dual-Port DC Fast Charger for Commercial EV Fleets

8/13/2026

Heliox, a Siemens business, has introduced the Heliox 60 Dual DC Fast Charger (H60D), a 60-kW charging system designed, engineered, and manufactured in the U.S. for commercial electric vehicle fleets, including buses and passenger vehicles.

The H60D features two CCS1 charging connectors that can operate simultaneously, with power dynamically distributed between vehicles based on charging demand. The charger can deliver its full 60-kW output to a single vehicle or divide available power between two vehicles charging at the same time.

According to the company, the dual-port design is intended to reduce installation footprint and hardware requirements while increasing the number of vehicles that can be served from a single charging unit.

The charger is compatible with vehicles using the SAE J1772 (CCS Type-1) charging standard and supports battery systems ranging from 200 to 1,000 volts DC. It also supports OCPP 1.6J and OCPP 2.0.1, allowing integration with a variety of charging management platforms and smart-charging applications.

The H60D can be installed as either a wall-mounted or pedestal-mounted unit and is available in networked or standalone configurations. It also includes RFID authentication for fleet access management.

Designed for indoor or outdoor use, the charger features a NEMA 3R enclosure and is rated to operate in temperatures ranging from -22°F to 131°F. Heliox reports peak operating efficiency of more than 96 percent.
