YOU Can Serve in an APTA Leadership Position!

6/20/2025

APTA is accepting nominations for its Executive Committee and Board of Directors. The deadline is July 11!

Serving as an APTA officer or board member is a unique opportunity to bring your voice to the table on key industry issues; influence policy and guide strategic decisions; advance initiatives that support innovation, advocacy, and professional development; and expand your network and impact across the public transportation landscape.

Board members help govern APTA and oversee the association’s financial, legal, administrative, and member welfare responsibilities. The board meets in person three times per year, with virtual attendance options available. Active participation is essential.

The Executive Committee provides strategic oversight between full board meetings. Members serve as both board and Executive Committee members and meet approximately three additional times annually, with virtual meetings as needed.

Nominees who are not a CEO or public transit agency board chair must include a signed authorization from their employer confirming support and availability to participate, including travel costs.

Learn more and submit nominations here by July 11. For questions, contact Kym Hill at [email protected].
