TRC Launches All-in-One Transit System in First Partnership with RATP Dev

The Routing Company (TRC) has launched a new multimodal transit system in the City of Lompoc, CA, marking its first partnership with RATP Dev. The launch replaces the city’s legacy “Road Runner” software with TRC’s Pingo platform, delivering integrated support for fixed-route, ADA paratransit, and an upcoming new microtransit service.

Operating under a seven-year agreement in partnership with RATP Dev, the service reflects a major upgrade in Lompoc’s transit operations, centralizing scheduling, dispatch, and reporting into a single platform.

“This launch is a milestone for TRC, not just as our first partnership with RATP Dev, but as a truly integrated deployment across fixed-route, paratransit, and on-demand modes,” said James Cox, TRC CEO. “We’re proud to support Lompoc’s riders with a more responsive, seamless transit experience.”

The partnership brings all of Lompoc’s public transit services onto one system. Fixed-route operations now run on Pingo’s platform, supporting approximately eight vehicles serving daily local and commuter routes. ADA paratransit services, which operate door-to-door, have also been transitioned to Pingo, alongside a new microtransit service offering flexible, on-demand rides through virtual stops.

Across the network, a total of 18 vehicles are now operating through TRC’s platform. Riders can pre-book or request trips in real time using the Pingo app, with credit card payment available directly in the system.
