Train as an OLI Volunteer at TRANSform!

7/31/2025

APTA is partnering with national rail safety education nonprofit Operation Lifesaver, Inc. (OLI) to train Operation Lifesaver Authorized Volunteers (OLAVs) during APTA’s TRANSform conference in Boston, MA, Sept. 17. OLAVs are trained to provide life-saving rail safety education messages in presentations and at events in their communities.

Using OLI’s comprehensive data-driven and empowering messaging resources, OLAVs share rail safety facts to help people understand, evaluate, and make smart decisions near tracks and trains. OLAVs engage in specialized interactive presentations, community events, crossing blitzes, enforcement events, and more.

Apply here. Applicants will receive an email that links to their unique online classroom. This training must be completed by Sept. 5 to be invited to the in-person training at TRANSform.
