Deadline Approaching: Nominations for APTA Bus Safety, Security, Emergency Management Awards

APTA’s Bus Safety, Security, and Emergency Management Excellence Awards recognize bus and paratransit systems that have implemented programs or projects with documented success in addressing specific safety or security program areas. The deadline for submitting applications is March 23.

This year’s award program areas include:

• Safety
• Security
• Emergency Management
• Safe, Effective, and Clean Transit (a new, one-time award aligned with APTA’s SECURE Task Force efforts)

The awards are presented in different categories based upon size and type of provider. Award winners will be announced at the 2026 Mobility Conference, May 17-20 in Salt Lake City, UT.
