Seattle-Area Transit Agencies Plan for Super Bowl Parade Crowds

2/10/2026

Seattle Seahawks fans are being encouraged to take public transportation to and from the midweek parade celebrating the team’s Super Bowl victory. With crowds expected in the hundreds of thousands, road closures and detours, and limited parking, transit agencies are increasing services and planning alternative ways to get around.

“Celebrations like this are what the regional transportation network is made for. I encourage residents throughout King County to leave your cars at home and join the celebration,” said King County Executive Girmay Zahilay.

Seven regional transit agencies will be working together to shuttle fans to the downtown parade: Community Transit, Everett Transit, King County Metro, Kitsap Transit, Pierce Transit, Sound Transit, and Washington State Ferries.

Kitsap Transit, Sound Transit, and Washington State Ferries will be offering extra event service. King County Metro announcedmajor changes to bus service throughout downtown starting at 5:00 a.m. and has planned for special shuttles to keep riders moving in that area. Pierce Transit is providing special event bus service connecting to Sound Transit’s 1 Line Link light rail into downtown Seattle. Community Transit provides bus connections to Link light rail and Sounder train stations; buses are encouraged as Park and Ride lots are expected to fill up early.

“It’s all hands on deck for Metro as we work together with one goal in mind: making sure fans can get safely to the celebration and back home again,” said King County Metro General Manager Michelle Allison. “Bring your excitement, pack your patience, have a good time, and let transit get you there!”
