The Victor Valley Transit Authority (VVTA), Hesperia, CA, has appointed Rod Goldman as its next chief executive officer, succeeding Nancie Goff, who retired after more than three decades of service.
For the past three years, Goldman served as VVTA’s director of operations. He brings nearly four decades of experience in public transportation, including key leadership roles at Gardena GTrans, Baton Rouge Capital Area Transit System, and Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority. He has also led his own consulting firm, Diversified Transportation Solutions, assisting transit agencies with strategic planning, system redesigns, and performance improvements.
VVTA Board Chair Liz Becerra said, “Rod’s proven track record, innovative mindset, and deep industry expertise make him the right leader to guide VVTA into its next chapter of growth and service excellence.” She also thanked Goff for her exceptional leadership, noting that her impact will be felt for years to come.
Goldman also thanked Nancie Goff and the VVTA team for building a strong foundation of innovation and community partnership. “Public transit is vital to the region’s quality of life, and I look forward to working with our employees, board, and community partners to deliver safe, reliable, and forward-thinking mobility solutions for the High Desert.”
