Review, Comment on APTA Standards

The APTA Standards Program has advanced five new documents for public review and commenting and APTA is seeking feedback from all executive-level industry stakeholders to help shape the language in the documents.

The public comment period is an essential component of APTA’s consensus-based standards development process.

The current documents address the following topics:

Bus Brake and Chassis System

• Troubleshooting Transit Bus Air Systems

Bus Rapid Transit

• BRT Vehicles: Characteristics and Selection Considerations

Electrical

• Grounding and Bonding

Signals & Communications

• Passenger Information System Inspection, Testing and Maintenance

Vehicle Inspection & Maintenance

• Rail Transit Vehicle Passenger Emergency Systems
