Public Review and Commenting of APTA Standards

The APTA Standards Program has advanced several documents for public review and commenting. The program is seeking feedback from all industry stakeholders to help shape the language found in the latest set of documents. The public commenting period is an essential component of APTA’s consensus-based standards development process.

The current set of documents address the following topics:

• Bus procurement: guidelines
• Urban design: forming partnerships to promote transit-oriented communities and joint development
• Security and emergency management: safe mail and package handling
• Infrastructure: security and design considerations for restrooms at public transportation passenger facilities
