Palm Tran Names Ivan Maldonado as Executive Director

Palm Tran, West Palm Beach, FL, has named Ivan Maldonado as its new executive director. Maldonado, the agency’s first Hispanic executive director, succeeds Interim Executive Director Michael J. Blaylock, who assumed the role after the passing of Clinton B. Forbes in November of 2023.

Maldonado has nearly 20 years of industry experience. Most recently, he served as deputy executive officer of Metro Transit, Omaha, NE. Before that, he was director of transportation / bus operations for Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Authority, Tampa, FL. He also served as director, bus operations control center & street operations for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority and was general manager and executive director at StarMetro, Tallahassee, FL.
