NORTA Names Justin Augustine III as CEO

The New Orleans Regional Transit Authority (NORTA), LA, has selected Justin Augustine III as its next chief executive officer, following the resignation of former CEO Lona Edwards Henkins in May. With more than 40 years of public transit leadership experience, Augustine has led multimodal transit systems in the United States and internationally.

Augustine has held senior executive roles overseeing bus, rail, paratransit, and mobility operations, and leadership positions with major private-sector transportation providers. His career also includes significant contributions to the recovery and rebuilding of New Orleans transit service following Hurricane Katrina.

Augustine previously ran the NORTA while it was under the management of Transdev.
