Intercity Transit Authority Names Emily Bergkamp as General Manager

The Intercity Transit Authority, Olympia, WA, has named Emily Bergkamp as its new general manager. Bergkamp, who has served as acting general manager since April, has been with the agency for 19 years in a variety of roles, including director of operations; ADA paratransit, Dial-A-Lift manager; youth education specialist; and vanpool coordinator.

Intercity Transit provides service in Olympia, Lacey, Tumwater, and Yelm. In addition to serving the local area, the agency connects with five area public transit systems, providing access throughout Western Washington.

For APTA, Bergkamp is a member of the Diversity and Inclusion Council and serves on the Small Operations; Bus Operations; Innovative Funding, Finance and P3; and Access committees. She is a graduate of the Leadership APTA Class of 2013.
