FTA Shares Resources for Human Trafficking Prevention Month

For Human Trafficking Prevention Month (January), FTA is sharing anti-trafficking resources for public transit agencies. The transportation sector can play a critical role in preventing human trafficking; agencies should visit and share within their networks the FTA Human Trafficking Awareness website for resources, including:

• USDOT Advisory Committee on Human Trafficking’s 2024 Report — underscores counter-trafficking trends, emerging issues, and practices to prevent and address human trafficking.
• FTA’s 2024 Human Trafficking Prevention Month Webinar Presentation and Recording — features discussion by several transit organizations on their anti-trafficking efforts.

Personnel from the Advisory Committee on Human Trafficking will present recommendations from their report at the 2025 Department of Homeland Security Center for Countering Human Trafficking Symposium on Jan. 15.
