FTA Posts FY26 CIG Allocations Table

Each year, Congress passes legislation which, when signed by the President, appropriates funds for USDOT and related agencies. After that legislation is enacted, FTA publishes a notice in the Federal Register that provides an overview of the apportionments and allocations based on these funds for the various FTA programs, as well as statements of policy and guidance on public transit administration.

FTA announced $20.6 billion in FY26 funding to support public transportation throughout the country, detailed in apportionment tables for each program. FTA has posted FY26 Section 5309 Fixed Guideway Capital Investment Grants (CIG) Allocations (Full Year). The amount apportioned in this notice includes funding enacted in the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and is based on funding made available under the Full-Year Consolidated Appropriations Act.
