FTA Administrator Marcus J. Molinaro visited New Flyer and Metro Bus Aug. 14 during his visit to St. Cloud, MN, to address the Community Transportation Association of America (CTAA) SUN Conference.

“We were honored to welcome Administrator Molinaro to St. Cloud for his first official transit system visit since taking office,” said Ryan I. Daniel, chief executive officer, St. Cloud Metro Bus. “In addition to his tour of New Flyer’s world-class manufacturing facility, we were proud to showcase our award-winning Mobility & Training Center. This state-of-the-art facility reflects our commitment to accessibility, rider education, and innovation, demonstrating how public transit can transform communities of all sizes.”
Molinaro was joined by House Majority Whip Rep. Tom Emmer (R-MN) at the New Flyer manufacturing facility. Together, with leaders from CTAA, they saw firsthand how American-made buses are built and discussed how innovation and manufacturing strengthen transit systems nationwide.
While touring the facility, Administrator Molinaro shared his focus on lowering construction costs, empowering local agencies, and cutting red tape so communities can get the transit they need faster and more efficiently.
“It was great to welcome Federal Transit Administrator Marc Molinaro to Minnesota’s 6th District today to highlight American manufacturing at New Flyer,” said Rep. Emmer. “Our One Big Beautiful Bill will unleash American manufacturing. It’s a win for manufacturers, their employees, and our community.”
At the CTAA SUN Conference, Administrator Molinaro reaffirmed FTA’s commitment to rural and small-urban transit. Under President Trump and U.S. Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy, FTA is focused on investing in infrastructure that is safe, efficient, and built to meet the needs of American families.
