Cincinnati Metro Expands Access for Hamilton County Residents

Cincinnati Metro has launched its first MetroNow! zone within Cincinnati city limits. The Bond Hill/Roselawn Zone is the fifth service area for the on-demand service, which is helping close the last-mile transit gap.

Launched in 2023, MetroNow! has provided more than 350,000 rides. The service provides shuttle connections, requested via phone or app, to the agency’s fixed-route network. Cincinnati Metrosays that grocery stores are a popular destination for those using the service, providing access to necessities as well as connecting to the broader transit network.

“MetroNow! is designed to meet people where they are and make it easier to connect with the places they need to go,” said Metro CEO and General Manager Andy Aiello. “Whether that’s a job, school, medical appointment, grocery store, or a connection to another Metro route, this service gives our riders another convenient transportation option.”

The new Bond Hill/Roselawn Zone connects riders with 12 Metro fixed routes. Across all MetroNow! zones, riders can connect with 23 Metro routes across Cincinnati and Hamilton County, nearly half of the agency’s fixed-route network.
