The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA), Albany, NY, has named Frank Annicaro as its new chief executive officer. Annicaro takes over from interim CEO Michael P. Collins, who has held the position since former CEO Carm Basile retired after 43 years with the Authority in December 2024.

Annicaro most recently served as senior vice president of the New York City Transit Department of Buses for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA). Prior to that, he held chief officer, central maintenance facility, and several central maintenance facility operating positions with MTA, before becoming acting vice president and chief maintenance officer. For APTA, he is a member of the Zero Emission Fleet Committee.
