Broward County Transit Unveils First Electric Express Bus

Broward County Transit (BCT), FL, marked an historic milestone in its commitment to clean transportation with a recent ribbon-cutting ceremony for its inaugural electric Express Bus coach. This partnership with Florida DOT represents a leap forward in providing sustainable and efficient transportation options for the region.

The new Express Bus coach, which will operate between Broward and Miami-Dade County, has seating for up to 54 passengers, free Wi-Fi, and is estimated to travel up to 230 miles per charge.

“This electric Express Bus coach is a symbol of our county’s unwavering commitment to a cleaner, greener future,” said Coree Cuff Lonergan, BCT CEO/general manager. “This partnership with FDOT underscores our shared vision for building a better tomorrow, one emission-free ride at a time.”

Broward County Transit operates five Express Bus service Park and Ride locations where customers can park for free and have access to transportation into Miami-Dade.
