APTA Hosts Successful 2024 TRANSform in Anaheim

APTA welcomed attendees to its 2024 TRANSform in Anaheim, CA, Sept. 29-Oct. 2. The event brought together more than 3,100 public transit industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators for education, networking, and collaborative opportunities.

APTA President and CEO Paul P. Skoutelas opened the annual gathering by saying, “Thanks to you, our engaged members, it has been another remarkable year of modernizing our infrastructure; expanding transit networks; and creating accessible, equitable, and sustainable public transportation that drives the national economy.”

Attendees also heard from outgoing APTA Chair Michele Wong Krause, former chair of Dallas Area Rapid Transit, who described APTA’s wide-ranging achievements during her tenure, and from incoming Chair MJ Maynard, CEO of the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada, who outlined her focus for the coming year: promoting innovation; investing in the transit workforce; and demonstrating how public transportation supports local communities and jobs.

Academy Award-winning actress Mira Sorvino, a #MeToo and human rights advocate, delivered an inspiring opening keynote, after which attendees toured the Products and Services Showcase featuring 146 exhibiting companies.
