Sept. 25 Is #SeeSayDay!
9/15/2023
The U.S. remains in a heightened threat environment, and everyone plays an important role in noticing something suspicious. As an official partner with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) “If You See Something, Say Something” national campaign, APTA supports the mission to raise public awareness of terrorism-related suspicious activity and how to report it to local authorities.
APTA members are encouraged to leverage “If You See Something, Say Something” free, downloadable materials including posters, social media content, video/audio files, graphics, brochures, translated materials and jurisdiction-specific materials. Public transit agencies can use these materials to encourage employees and passengers to report suspicious behaviors to local authorities.
Officially known as “If You See Something, Say Something” Awareness Day, Sept. 25, #SeeSayDay is a time for DHS, its partners and the public to join together in further amplifying the campaign’s critical message. “If You See Something, Say Something” is more than just a slogan; it is the mindset that we all play a role in the safety of our communities. For #SeeSayDay 2023, “Pledge to Protect”!
Organizations can become active with the campaign year-round as an official partner. For more information, contact SeeSay@hq.dhs.gov. To learn more about campaign activities and upcoming webinars and to access “If You See Something, Say Something” and #SeeSayDay resources, visit dhs.gov/SeeSay.
