Participate in the 2025 FTA TAM Peer Working Group

11/4/2024

Building upon the success of the 2023 and 2024 Transit Asset Management (TAM) Peer Working Group series, FTA is launching a new TAM Peer Working Group for 2025. The working group will promote peer learning among metropolitan planning organizations (MPOs), share peer-designed resources, and collaborate on best practices.

FTA’s TAM Peer Working Group team will establish a group of 11-15 participants from MPOs to engage virtually over the course of the year on how MPOs interact with TAM. Topics may include:

  • TAM target setting, data collection for target setting, and reporting on target setting
  • Planning, including through regional transportation plans, transportation improvement programs/federal transportation improvement programs, and long-range planning efforts
  • Technical assistance and engagement with transit agencies

Working group participants should be MPO staff who engage with some aspect of TAM and should be willing and able to commit to the following for the year-long program:

  • Attend virtual monthly one-hour working group meetings for approximately 12 months starting in January 2025 (dates/times to be coordinated)
  • Prepare a brief presentation on a problem statement, experience, or question related to their organization’s interaction with TAM, then facilitate a discussion for one of the meetings
  • Actively engage and participate in Peer Working Group discussions
  • Contribute materials for and provide feedback on a resource list that will be shared publicly

To apply to participate in the TAM Peer Working Group, complete this form by Nov. 14. For questions, contact Tamalynn Kennedy. More information on future peer engagement opportunities can be found on the TAM website.
