APTA Chair Michele Wong Krause, former chair, Dallas Area Rapid Transit; Immediate Past Chair Dorval R. Carter, Jr., president, Chicago Transit Authority; and APTA President and CEO Paul P. Skoutelas participated in the biennial InnoTrans in Berlin this week.

InnoTrans is the world’s largest rail expo, showcasing the latest innovations in rail transportation and infrastructure and bringing together more than 140,000 transportation professionals from around the world.

“The breadth of cutting-edge technology on display [at InnoTrans] is a testament to the vibrancy of rail transit today and its relevance as a key mode for tomorrow,” said Wong Krause.

During the event, APTA was pleased to join colleagues from FRA, including Administrator Amit Bose, and meet with key players in the U.S. passenger rail sector.

“This is a unique opportunity to place a finger on the pulse of the state and direction of the global rail industry and how we can ensure its continued growth and evolution in North America,” said Skoutelas.
