Review, Comment on APTA Maintenance, Security, and Safety Standards

The APTA Standards Program has advanced several new documents for public review and commenting and APTA is seeking feedback from all executive-level industry stakeholders to help shape the language in the documents.

The public comment period is an essential component of APTA’s consensus-based standards development process.

The current documents address the following topics:

Elevator and Escalator

• Design and Installation of Heavy-Duty Hydraulic Elevators

Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance Working Group

• Truck Systems Periodic Inspection and Maintenance

Infrastructure Security

• Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design for Transit Facilities

Bus Safety

• Out-of-Service Storage of Vehicles with High-Voltage Lithium-Ion Energy Storage Systems
