Issued in October 2024, the RWP final rule requires rail transit agencies to implement programs that protect workers operating on or near the tracks. Agencies must receive State Safety Oversight Agency approval for their RWP programs by Dec. 2, 2025, and ensure comprehensive training and reporting mechanisms are in place.
