APTA Safety & Risk Management Seminar Open for Registration!

APTA’s Safety & Risk Management Seminar, Dec. 7-10 in San Diego, CA, is open for registration. The event includes special tracks for both transit risk management and safety professionals.

The seminar provides an opportunity for practitioners to discuss pertinent safety and risk management issues as well as network and learn from federal and state partners about recently passed rules and regulations, federal oversight, and technical assistance programs.

The safety track will examine Safety Management Systems (SMS), safety and security certification, battery-electric and hydrogen fuel safety, driver and transit worker assaults, APTA Standards and Recommended Practices, cybersecurity, homelessness, collision avoidance, trespassing and grade crossing safety awareness, and more.

The risk management track is the only such event specifically designed for those involved in transit risk management. The track will focus on workers’ compensation, insurance updates, emerging technology, environmental exposures, post-COVID practices, battery-electrical bus fires, and more.
