Santa Cruz METRO Names Corey Aldridge as CEO

The Santa Cruz Metropolitan Transit District (METRO), CA, has named Corey Aldridge as its new CEO, to begin April 29. Aldridge has served as a general manager in public transit for more than a decade, most recently as CEO of Mountain Line Transit in Missoula, MT.

At Mountain Line, Aldridge oversaw a successful ballot initiative process, the implementation of zero-emission vehicle procurements and infrastructure projects, a free-fare program, obtaining state and federal grants, strategic planning and rebranding initiatives, and transit-oriented developments. Under his leadership, the agency won APTA’s Outstanding Public Transportation System Achievement Award in 2021.

Before Mountain Line, Aldridge served as general manager of River Cities Transit, Cowlitz County, WA, and as operations manager for The LINK Public Transit in The Dalles, OR.

For APTA, Aldridge is a member of the Public Transportation CEO Coordinating Council and serves on the Bus & Paratransit CEOs, Zero Emission Fleet, BRT, and Legislative committees, among others.
