Review, Comment on APTA Standards for Rail Systems, Sustainability & Urban Design

The APTA Standards Program has advanced documents for public review and commenting and APTA is seeking feedback from all executive-level industry stakeholders to help shape the language in the documents. This public comment period is an essential component of APTA’s consensus-based standards development process.

The current set of documents address the following topics:

Rail Transit Systems

• Rule-Compliance Program Requirements
• Emergency Signage for Rail Transit Vehicles

Sustainability & Urban Design

• Design of On-Street Transit Stops and Access from Surrounding Areas
• Best Practices for Integrating Art into Capital Projects
