Review, Comment on APTA Security & Emergency Management, Operating Practices Standards

The APTA Standards Program has advanced several new documents for public review and commenting and APTA is seeking feedback from all executive-level industry stakeholders to help shape the language in the documents.

The public comment period is an essential component of APTA’s consensus-based standards development process.

The current documents address the following topics:

Security & Emergency Management

• Transit De-Escalation Policy and Training

Operating Practices

• Requirements for Safe Operations in Yards and Maintenance Facilities
• Rail Transit Signals Operating Rules and Procedures
• Training of Rail Operating Employees
• Electronic Device Distraction Policy Requirements
