Public Transit Agencies Across NA Reporting Ridership Increases!

Millions more people across North America are riding public transportation in 2024! APTA’s Public Transportation Ridership Report compared ridership over the 12 months ending September 2024 with the 12 months ending September 2023.

Some of the largest ridership percentage increases include the Detroit Transportation Corporation People Mover with 80 percent; Portage Area RTA, Kent, OH, at 52 percent; GO Transit, Toronto, ON, Canada, 32 percent; and JFK AirTrain/The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey with a 31 percent increase.
