Presenting the Leadership APTA Class of 2024 Capstone Projects!

The Leadership APTA Class of 2024 capstone projects are now available on APTAU! Over the course of the class program, participants identified and addressed six key areas of concern for the public transportation industry and met with and interviewed dozens of industry CEOs, senior leaders, and national experts. In addition, they conducted related surveys and research to produce an array of outstanding presentations and reports.

The capstone project materials available for viewing include executive summaries, presentation videos, and slide decks. Project topics include:

• Going beyond procurement—Increasing participation by historically underutilized businesses.
• Improving operator satisfaction and retention—Better operator work schedules.
• AI driven security innovations.
• Providing more inclusive transit services/welcoming older riders.
• Transit ambassador programs—Turning anecdotes into data.
• Zero-emission bus transition—Tools and resources.
