In Memoriam: Sharon McBride

Longtime APTA member and public transportation advocate, Sharon McBride, died March 23 at the age of 84.

McBride represented the city of West Peoria as a CityLink Transit Board member for over 27 years where she focused much of her efforts on the Americans With Disabilities Act mandates.

In 2020, she was recognized as the APTA Outstanding Public Transportation Board Member. She also served on the association’s Board of Directors and was a member of the Executive Committee.
