FTA to Host Roundtable on Bus Safety and Design Impacting Visibility

FTA will host a virtual Public Roundtable Sept. 10, 2:00-4:00 p.m. Eastern to discuss safety and elements of bus design that impact driver visibility.

FTA will facilitate discussion among manufacturers, public transit agencies, labor unions, and transit industry stakeholders on what efforts are needed to improve bus driver visibility through bus safety designs, such as mirror size and placement and A-pillar design. FTA will invite industry experts to discuss vehicle design and visibility improvements.
