APTA Nominating Committee Selects 2024-2025 Board Executives

APTA’s nominating committee met in Chicago, IL, Aug. 15, to select the association’s 2024-2025 Executive Committee and Board of Directors.

MJ Maynard, CEO, Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada, will assume the position of APTA chair for 2024-2025. Leanne Redden, executive director of the Regional Transportation Authority of Chicago, was selected as vice chair. Current APTA Chair Michele Wong Krause will serve as APTA immediate past chair. Jeffrey Wharton, director, contracts and technical services, Systra Engineering, will serve as secretary-treasurer for 2022-2025.

APTA members will vote on the 2024-25 slate of nominees Sept. 28 during APTA’s TRANSform Conference in Anaheim, CA. Nominated to three-year terms as members-at-large of the 25-member APTA Executive Committee are:

  • Debra Johnson, CEO, Denver Regional Transportation District, as the Executive Committee Member-At-Large
  • Ray Melleady, executive vice president, United Safety and Survivability Corporation, Exton, PA, as the Business Member-At-Large
  • Joel Young, president of the board of directors, Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District, Oakland, CA, as the Transit Board Member-At-Large

The committee also approved the following individuals to fill portfolio seats on the Executive Committee:

  • Randy Clarke, CEO, Washington Metropolitan Area Transportation Authority, as the Legacy System Representative
  • Alexander Clifford, CEO, San Joaquin Regional Transit District, CA, as the Small Operations Committee Representative
  • Shawn Donaghy, CEO, North County Transit District, Oceanside, CA, as the Mid-Size Operations Committee Representative
  • Collie Greenwood, CEO, Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority, as the Top 10 Transit Agency Representative
  • Catherine Rinaldi, CEO, MTA Metro North, NY, as the Commuter Rail CEO Representative
